Episode 6: "Horror Files Favs - Creature Features"

This week, we will be trying something a little bit different here on "The Horror Files." Instead of diving into one particular horror film, I'll be giving you my top favs in a specific horror sub-genre category. For this episode, it's all about "Creature Features", so if it slithers, crawls, snarls, or digs, I'll be talking about it and giving you the top five picks for my favorite creature horror films. So settle in, grab your Gizmo plushie and make sure not to feed him after midnight!

Episode 5: "The Evil Dead"

For this weeks episode, we head to a cabin deep in the Tennessee woods, where demonic books and rape-y trees reside, and where a goofy romantic named Ash is ready to put evil in its place with the help of a trusty chainsaw. You guessed it - I'll be talking about the 1981 Sam Raimi gore-tastic classic, "The Evil Dead." I'll also have my recommendations for this week and an update on the upcoming Scream 5 in the Horror Files News Corner. 

Episode 4: "The Witch"

Would thou like to live deliciously? On this week's episode, I'll be traveling back to the 1600's - a time of witches, wilderness, and charismatic black goats. That's right, I'll be discussing the 2016 Puritan-horror film, "The VVitch." I'll also have some horror merch news, an update on "Halloween Kills", and my recommendations for the week. Remember, stay safe and stay spooky! 

Episode 3: "The Blair Witch Project"

In this episode we are going deep into the woods of Burkettsville, Maryland, land of sinister stick figure folk art, abandoned houses with bloody handprints, and plenty of nausea-inducing camera work. That’s right, I will be talking about the found-footage classic from 1999, “The Blair Witch Project.” I'll also have the latest horror news on upcoming film delays (because, let's face it - they are all delayed right now), good news for Shaun of the Dead fans, and my personal recommendations for the week.

Episode 2: "Sleepaway Camp"

It's summertime campers, and what better way to spend your Covid quara than to head out to Camp Arawak for some swimming, a little capture-the-flag, and plenty of 80's slasher fun? That's right, this week I am going deeper than a curling iron up Judy's hoo-hah to bring you the classic 1983 film, "Sleepaway Camp." I'll be discussing crazy aunts, raspberries as makeshift bee sting wounds, and of course, hanging brain on the beach. In the Horror Files news corner, I'll have the latest on some upcoming bluray and 4K releases, as well as some personal recommendations for movies and series that I've been enjoying lately. So, sit back, grab some snacks from the canteen and don't forget to salt that huge pot of boiling water for your corn.

Episode 1: "The Night Eats The World"

For my first episode, I'm going pandemic-themed (sound familiar?) with the 2018 film, "The Night Eats the World." I'll be talking self-isolation, zombies, and killer drum solos. In the Horror Files news corner I'll also be discussing the long-awaited "Halloween Kills", movie delays and release updates, as well as what is new to stream for Horror in July.  Remember, monsters: stay safe but most importantly, stay spooky.
