EPISODE 53: ”VIDEO NASTIES - THE BEYOND (1981)”

That’s right monsters, I will be talking about the gory, goopy Fulci classic, THE BEYOND (1981). Episode 52: ”The Lodge (2019)”

This episode is going to get chilly as we head to a cabin in the woods (no we’re not covering THAT movie), where frigid temperatures, religious cult pasts, and resentful kids create a recipe for dread and doom. That’s right, monsters, in this episode, I’ll be talking about the 2019 psychological horror thriller film, THE LODGE. In the Horror Files News Corner, I'll have Waxwork vinyl horror soundtrack news as well as a special honorific for Brian De Palma's classic, CARRIE. Bundle up kids, because this episode is being generated by gaslight only!

EPISODE 51: ”VIDEO NASTIES - NIGHT OF THE DEMON (1980)

We are back! The Horror Files returns from it's hiatus, and is picking back up with it's "Video Nasties" series. In this episode, we head into the woods in search of Bigfoot, where we find slaughtered girl scouts, ripped off dicks, and a girlboss named Crazy Wanda. That’s right monsters, I will be discussing the low budget, cryptozoological gore fest, NIGHT OF THE DEMON from 1980. In the Horror Files News Corner, we'll have deets on Joe Bob Briggs' upcoming holiday special, as well as Event Horizon and The Dentist 4k/Blu-ray news. Episode 50: ”Fav Blumhouse Horror”

We are celebrating the 50th episode of The Horror Files, and what better way to laud the occasion than by talking about the horror juggernaut production house, Blumhouse Productions! With more than 75 horror titles to their name, Blumhouse has made a name by taking small-budget, indie horror films to huge box office returns. For this episode, I'm joined by Matt Orozco and Lowell Greenblatt from MacabreDaily.com and we break down our favorites from Blumhouses' vast catalog, as well as the worst from their 22 year span. Buckle up, because you may be surprised which ones made our lists!

Episode 49: ”Video Nasties - SS Experiment Love Camp (1976)”

We continue with our "Video Nasties" series, which today, takes us to a Nazi prison camp, filled with human experiments, egregiously nude women, and the ripe stank of filmmaker misogyny. That’s right monsters, on this episode, I will be discussing the 1976 Nazi exploitation film, SS EXPERIMENT LOVE CAMP. In the Horror Files News Corner, I'll have an update on the upcoming Hocus Pocus 2 sequel, as well as Peaches Christ's lost slasher film. It's officially Spring, and special guest Rich Harris from the @slashintheattic Instagram account is back! For this episode, we are heading to Sweden to take part in a fabled midsummer festival, full of maypoles, flowers, and extremely sus meat pies. All is NOT what it seems, even amongst friends, as folk horror, grief, and gaslighting boyfriends collide. That’s right folks, on this episode we will be discussing the 2019 Ari Aster folk horror film, MIDSOMMAR. Grab your flower crown, because this episode will be full of gaslighting, gatekeeping, and girlbossing!

Episode 47: ”Video Nasties: Dead And Buried (1981)”

We continue with our "Video Nasties" series, which today, takes us to a seemingly sleepy New England town, where tourists quickly learn that you can visit, but you can’t ever leave. That’s right monsters, on this episode, I will be discussing the 1981 atmospheric horror film, DEAD AND BURIED. In the Horror Files News Corner, I'll have details on Kevin Smith's next (unusual) horror project, as well as a big Shout! Factory sale, so grab your camera and don't blink, because this episode is gonna bring you back to life!

For this episode, we take a reality bending trip to a small town hospital, where grief, guilt, and resurrection collide in a dizzying array of monsters, guts, and hooded cultists. That’s right monsters, on this episode, I will be discussing the 2016 Lovecraftian indie horror film, THE VOID. In the Horror Files News Corner, I'll have casting news for Tim Burton's Wednesday show for Netflix, as well as Showtime's upcoming Let The Right One In series. So grab your triangle robe and strap in because this episode is a real mind-bender!

Episode 45: ”Video Nasties: A Bay of Blood (1971”

This episode, The Horror Files kicks off our new ongoing "Video Nasties" series with a bang, as we take a look at Mario Bava's fantastically brutal, giallo slasher, A BAY OF BLOOD from 1971. In the Horror Files News Corner, I'll have the deets on a new Dr. Jekyll film coming from the legendary Hammer Films studio, as well as upcoming Scream Factory and Vinegar Syndrome Blu-Ray and 4K releases. So grab your shotgun and pretend your parents are only playing dead, because this episode is going to be a bloodbath!
