Episode 26: "Student Bodies"

For this episode, we will be tackling the film that first parodied the teen slasher horror genre, so grab your rubber gloves, your horse-head bookend, and don’t forget to breathe real heavy into the phone, because I’ll be discussing the 1981 slasher spoof, "Student Bodies." Yes, monsters we are back with another Horror Files Faves and it is long overdue! For this episode of all-time favorites, I decided to tackle the horror sub-genre of creepy kids!  Yes, those tikes in horror films that chill and disturb us, even more than adults! From living dead toddlers, kid killers, and murderous religious child zealots, we are going to cover the gamut of pre-adolescent psychopaths. In the Horror Files News Corner, I'll have news on David Cronenberg's next horror film, as well as Academy Award-winner Chloe Zhao's new horror project for Universal. 

Episode 24: "The Shining"

For this episode, it’s listener choice! You guys voted, so grab your axe and your tricycle, because it's all work and no play as I discuss the Stanley Kubrick masterpiece, "The Shining." And in the Horror Files News Corner, I'll have updates on the new "Resident Evil" reboot, as well as some casting news for Jordan Peele's next film for Universal. Leave your sanity at the door and tip your dead bartender, cause' "Heeeerree's Johnny!!!"

Episode 23: "The Blood on Satan's Claw"

This week, everyone's favorite Horror Files regular, Ariel, returns to talk with me about a movie filled with pagan rituals, flower crowns galore, and human sacrifices - and no, we don't mean "Midsommer." On this episode we will be tackling the folk-horror gem, "The Blood on Satan's Claw" from 1971. In the Horror Files News corner, we'll have upcoming Scream Factory release news, and I shout out some horror podcasts worth checking out in my recommendations. Grab your patch of weird Satan fur monsters, because it's going to get hairy!

Episode 22: "Misery"

Valentine’s Day is over, but on this episode of "The Horror Files", an unusual couple take center stage in a story of obsession, sledgehammers, bed-ridden authors, and "cockadoodie" cars. That’s right, Mr. Man - I will be discussing the 1990 Rob Reiner classic, "Misery." On the Horror Files News Corner, Buffalo Bill's house opens up for business and I'll have news on Tim Burton's new project for Netflix. So grab your Liberace records and a bottle of Dom Per-ig-non, because I'm your number one fan!
 

Episode 21: "Hunter Hunter"

In this episode, a way of life for a family of fur-trappers living in the Canadian wilderness is threatened, when a wolf encroaches on their hunting grounds. Soon, the off-the-grid clan learn that the wolf is the least dangerous predator they will have to contend with. That’s right, I’ll be discussing the 2020 Canadian horror film, “Hunter Hunter.” I will also have 4K Ultra news for "From Dusk Till Dawn Fans" as well as an update on James Wan's next film. Grab your skinning knives kids, cause we're about to dig deep!
 

Episode 20: "Krampus"

The holiday season is in full force and in this episode, a young boy struggling with his dysfunctional family during the holidays, decides to turn his back on Christmas and unleashes the wrath of a demonic force of evil intent on punishing non-believers. That’s right, monsters, I’ll be discussing the 2015 holiday horror romp, “Krampus.” On the Horror Files News Corner, I'll have some upcoming blu-ray releases, as well as the rumors that William Friedkin will be involved in the forthcoming "Exorcist" reboot. So, hang the stockings and keep the fire hot, because Krampus is coming!

Episode 19: "An American Werewolf in London"

On this episode, we head to the English countryside where a creature lurks on the moors under a full moon, and two American backpackers named Jack and David become unwitting victims to its curse. That’s right, on this episode, I’ll be talking about the 1981 John Landis creature classic, "An American Werewolf In London." In the Horror Files News Corner, I'll have a big announcement from Warner Bros media, as well as a fellow podcaster in my recommendations. So grab a pint down at The Slaughtered Lamb, because this episode is going to the dogs.

Episode 18: "The Craft: Legacy"

Okay you spooky tweens, time to get out your Etsy-purchased crystals, pop a Lush bath bomb in the tub and cast the corners, because on this episode of The Horror Files, we witness the butchering of a 90’s goth legacy. That’s right monsters, I’ll be reviewing the 2020 Blumhouse film, “The Craft: Legacy.” I'll also have some Black Friday sale news from Vinegar Syndrome as well as an exciting personal announcement, so grab your Ouija boards, witches, because not even Manon can save you from this film.

It's the Witching Hour, monsters as Halloween is here! For this episode, I have brought back a special guest as we get into the spooky spirit by counting down our top five, all-time favorite horror films! There will be zombies, vampires, aliens, witches, and maybe even a shark and James Woods thrown in there for good measure. It's Halloween, so light your Jack-o'Lantern, check your candy, and get into the spooky spirit!
