Episode 16: "Halloween (1978)" vs. "Halloween (2018)"

It's a double episode monsters! This time around, we are doing things a little differently, and since Halloween is next weekend, The Horror Files is doing a battle royale for Halloween supremacy by hosting our first horror face-off. The challengers? It’s Laurie vs. Laurie and Myers vs. Myers, its the havoc in Haddonfield to see who reigns superior as the champion of horror. That’s right, monsters: on this episode it's Halloween (1978) vs. Halloween (2018). In the Horror Files News Corner, I'll have info on the upcoming Hocus Pocus reunion as well as the Don't Breathe sequel update. So light your black flame candle, and grab your butcher knife, because Halloween is almost here!

Episode 15: "Scream"

What’s your favorite scary movie? In this episode, the rules of the horror film are turned on its head, so don’t drink, have sex, or say you’ll be right back, cause you won’t be.  That’s right, monsters, on this episode, I’ll be discussing the film that got meta and changed the game of horror forever - the 1996 Wes Craven classic, “Scream.” In the Horror Files News Corner, I'll have info on a new Scream Factory John Carpenter release as well as my weekly recommendations. So grab your Ghostface mask and your parental abandonment issues, cause it's gonna be a scream baby!

Episode 14: "Sleepy Hollow"

For this episode, we travel back to the 1700’s, where a small town in New York is under siege by a nightly rider who is claiming the heads of several of its residents. Who better to investigate this paranormal horseman with a penchant for decapitation, than a prim and prissy Johnny Depp attempting an English accent? That’s right, monsters, on this episode, I will be talking about the goth-tastic Tim Burton film, “Sleepy Hollow.” In the Horror Files news corner, I will have yet more movie delay news, as well as some great upcoming Halloween streaming to make your "Quara-ween" a little more bearable. Hang on to your spectral horses monsters, because heads are gonna roll!
 

Episode 13: "Paranormal Activity"

Spooktober is officially here, monsters! And what better way to get into the sinister spirit than to....well, watch a movie about a sinister spirit. It's time lapse video recording, creaky stairs, and opening doors galore - that's right, on this episode, I'll be talking about the 2007 paranormal phenomenon, "Paranormal Activity." And in The Horror Files News Corner I'll have news about Clive Barker's upcoming project, and will once again endeavor to reign my rage in about the new sequel to 1996's "The Craft." Grab your video camera and Ouija board, because it's only going to get spookier from here! 

Episode 12: "House on Haunted Hill (1999)"

It's spooky season, monsters! We are officially heading into The Horror Files' Halloween line-up, in which each week I'll be spot-lighting a Halloween horror favorite (as well as doing a special episode or two) until the end of October.
To get us into the spirit, we are attending a party at a haunted house, where a group of strangers must stay the night to claim a $1 million dollar reward...IF they make it until morning. That's right, on this episode, I'll be discussing the 1999 haunted house re-make, "House on Haunted Hill." I'll also have horror streaming news for October, as well as my recommendations for the week. 

Episode 11: "The Lost Boys"

This week, we head to Santa Carla, murder capital of the world, where two brothers quickly learn that making it as a new kid in town means blood pacts with bad-ass biker gangs, concerts with oiled up saxophonists, and learning NEVER to invite a vampire into your house, That’s right, on this episode, I’ll be discussing the 1987 vampire classic, “The Lost Boys." I'll also have an update on the new Candyman release date as well as my weekly recommendations. So grab your holy water, monsters and sing if you "still believe!"

Episode 10:"#Alive"

This week, we head to South Korea where zombies have attacked the cities and a young gamer named Jun-u must somehow survive in his apartment complex which has now been overrun by the living dead. That’s right, on this episode, I’ll be discussing the 2020 South Korean zombie film, “#ALIVE.” In the Horror Files News Corner, I'll have a big "Scream 5" update, some Halloween (the holiday) news, as well as my weekly recommendations. 

Episode 9: "Carrie (1976)"

It's back to school time, but it's not all Zoom classes and desk shields, folks. There is an even bigger school issue for teens these days and it is bullies! But fear not, because in this episode, the bullied take their revenge in a blaze of crepe paper, pressurized fire hoses, and death by microphone stand. That's right, all you social outcasts, on this edition of The Horror Files, I will be discussing the 1976 revenge classic, "Carrie." In the Horror Files News Corner I will have an update on Scream 5 as well as the next installment of the Paranormal Activity franchise, as well as my recommendations for the week. So, grab your bucket of pigs blood and lets go to prom!

Episode 8: "Death Spa"

In this episode we are working up a sweat! And what better way to keep you motivated when working out then to have a buddy along to help you! That's why on this special episode, for the first time, I am joined by a special guest! We will talk about the 1989 film, "Death Spa", the hidden danger of frozen fish, why twins are inherently evil, and what really is the difference between a spa and a gym anyway? I will also have some "The Thing" reboot news and my weekly recommendations, so grab your leotard and leg warmers because it's getting deathly hot in here!

Episode 7: "Host"

As art imitates life, for this episode we are stuck in quarantine, where we quickly learn that Zoom-conducted seances can be even deadlier than a store full of maskless people. That's right, I will be discussing the 2020 Zoom-shot horror film, "Host." In the Horror Files News Corner, I will have more casting news on Scream 5, "The VVitch's" Robert Eggers new film, and my weekly recommendations. So lets all join socially distant hands and summon up some spirits, monsters!
